Scott Cline, Area 19

Debi C. Bush

Scott Cline is a dedicated member of the Area 19 community, known throughout Travelers Rest, Berea, and Slater-Marietta for his commitment to service and his love for the area. Alongside his wife, Cindy, and their two sons — both graduates of Travelers Rest High — Scott has built strong roots in the district. Cindy, a Berea High alumna, shares this deep connection to the community, reflecting their family's long-standing commitment to local schools and to the people they serve.

Scott's passion for education runs in the family. His mother, a Furman University graduate, was a devoted teacher in the district, instilling in him a respect for educators and the critical role that schools play in shaping lives. As a parent and community leader, Scott values the partnership between families and educators, understanding that it is essential to student success and community well-being.

A Greenville High School graduate, Scott went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Anderson University, where he remains actively involved, serving on the Alumni Advisory Board. His leadership and commitment to faith-based principles are further exemplified by his former service on the board of C12, a Christian business advisory organization.

Professionally, Scott serves as the President of Cline Systems Inc., bringing his extensive business experience and commitment to innovation to the company. Previously, he and his brother Glenn represented the third generation to operate Cline Hose and Hydraulics, a family business founded by his grandfather, N.Q. Cline, Sr., and recently acquired by Bridgestone.

Scott is committed to using his background to support Area 19, ensuring that all students have access to quality education and the same opportunities that have benefited his own family.
