Greenville county Alternative program is the first program in the nation to complete the Trauma Skilled School Training. This rigorous program was developed by the National Dropout Prevention Center. The training is designed to raise awareness among staff on how to more effectively work with students impacted by trauma and adverse life events. By modifying instructional practices and structuring the school climate it is possible to boost achievement and improve graduation rates for at-risk youth.
