New School Year Brings Great Changes!

Welcome Alexis Walker, Principal of Group Homes and PRTF

Alexis Walker

I am humbled and honored to be the Principal of Group Homes and PRTF's for Greenville County Schools. My passion for students and staff began with my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in Inter-related Special Education K-12.  My commitment to students with both academic, behavioral, and social-emotional focuses have been a joy for the last 20+ years in education. I have served as a coach, special education teacher, program facilitator for behavior, school principal, and district administrator within multiple states. With advanced degrees and opportunities in educational leadership, secondary education, and intensive behavioral studies, I have a personal conviction that every student has amazing strengths, dreams, goals, and growth when a village of committed educators believe, relate, and expect greatness in their students. Our staff is committed to the vision and mission that we are the bridge that will create this hope. I am so very proud to be part of Greenville County's strategic plan that will inspire, support, and prepare our students.

I have a M.Ed in Adult Education and a MAT in Special Education from Georgia Southern University. I'm married with four children. I enjoy weightlifting, reading, writing and hanging out with the family!

Camila Sanders, Paraprofessional

I have a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Brazil where I am originally from. In the last 5 years I have worked at Headstart and Safe Harbor. Although these experiences taught me a lot and helped me get a large portfolio of work, I am looking forward to having a more collaborative work environment here at Group Homes. I really enjoy work where I can make a difference in people's lives. I am happy and grateful to meet you all here today and have the opportunity to learn more and be able to share cultural experiences.
