About Us
Greenville County Schools, located in beautiful Upstate South Carolina, is a great place to learn, work and live.

Recognized as a school system of excellence, Greenville County Schools was awarded district-wide National Accreditation from the AdvancED Accreditation Commission, recognizing us as a high quality school district with some of the finest schools the review team had ever seen.
Seeking to continuously improve our schools, we have developed and delivered an energy conservation program that has allowed our district to realize significant savings and reduce negative impact on our environment. This program has provided faculty and staff with energy saving methods and ideas that help to change current habits and form new ones. Additionally, this program helps to ensure that we are using our facilities in the most energy conscious manner possible, continuing with the progress that we have already made in conserving energy and reducing costs.
Our Schools
Greenville County Schools consists of over 100 facilities. With buildings totaling approximately 12 million square feet, and properties totaling nearly 2800 acres, these facilities have the ability to meet the academic and athletic needs of over 71,000 students and over 10,000 employees.
