Welcome to Greenville County Schools. Long recognized as a leader in public education, Greenville County Schools is the largest public school system in South Carolina and the 44th largest in the nation with 76,000 students. Advanced Placement and/or dual credit courses to earn college credit, Honors courses, foreign languages, arts and humanities, and extracurricular activities. Students may also take courses at a career technology center or the Fine Arts Center
High school students and their parents develop Individual Graduation Plans that specify a student’s cluster of study, major, post-secondary goals, planned high school activities, and planned out-of-class activities.
Middle school teachers help students delve more deeply into subjects introduced in elementary school, expose them to more information about the world, and prepare them for high school.
Greenville County Schools has elementary schools in rural, suburban, and urban areas. Students in five-year-old kindergarten through fifth grade participate in enriching educational programs in state-of-the-art buildings and technology-rich classrooms.
