Greenville County Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 8, 2018, due to a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service predicting icing on roadways and bridges during morning bus routes and student commutes.

Because of the extreme cold over the past week, any precipitation that falls will cause dangerous road conditions. Based on the hourly forecast, freezing precipitation could continue until 11 a.m. which is too late for a delayed start time.

With tomorrow’s closing, all three built in GCS “snow days” have been used. At this time, all students should plan on attending school March 19, March 30, and April 27.  As with any school closure after school and evening activities are cancelled.
