GCS Player of the Week - December 1, 2016
This week, GCS “Players of the Week” celebrates our 2016 State Tennis Champions:
Greenville High Girls Tennis completed an undefeated season by winning the Class AAAA State Tennis Championship 6-0 over Hilton Head. After completing an unbeaten regular season, the Red Raiders lost only one match on their march through the playoffs and wrapped up their perfect season with the 6-0 victory at state. The team has only two seniors and features a freshman, an 8th grader and a 7th grader amongst the top 6 players. Team members include; Layton Powell, Emma McFall, Julia Price, Gracie Walls, Westly Cannon, Sophie Young, Kate Keller, Maureen McFall, Alston Lucas, Georgia Milligan, Anna Grace Gowens. The Red Raiders are coached by Mike McCuen and John Ko.
