Nina Conits, a graduate of Christ Church Episcopal School, recently presented Superintendent W. Burke Royster with a check for $4,028 that was raised through a program she created called "Teens for Tomorrow" While attending the Riley Institute's Emerging Public Leaders program at Furman University, Contis’ assignment was to create a project to improve something in their own community. She came up with the idea of selling calendars that had public and private school holidays and football schedules, which also included several college schedules. School Board member Lynda Leventis-Wells and several members of Contis’ family were on hand for the check presentation.
