First Year Teacher Coaches Needed

Do you love to teach and to support other teachers, but cannot continue to do so full time? Ready to retire, but not quite ready to give up the fulfillment that teaching brings? Consider being a coach for a First Year Teacher!

Greenville County Schools is hiring master educators to coach first year teachers and GATE teachers. This is an hourly position (with no fringe benefits) to provide coaching and real-time feedback in the classroom. Coaches will provide weekly coaching support for 1-5 teachers, working with each teacher for an average of 2 hours per week with an allowance of 72 hours per teacher coached. Pay is $30 per hour.  This position cannot be held in conjunction with a full-time position as flexibility to meet the needs of the teacher is paramount.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), hold a South Carolina teaching certificate, and have a record of successful teaching. Coaching experience is preferred, but not required.
