PBS Documentary Focuses on Woodmont High’s Wildcat PlayersThe award-winning Woodmont High School Wildcat Players are being recognized nationally for their performance of The Taste of Sunrise. The production of The Taste of Sunrise was selected for its unique use of American Sign Language and Spoken word that is integrated through the performance.

They are one of only two high schools in the nation to be filmed for Kentucky's PBS/ETV Affiliate.  The film will document the process and journey of the Woodmont High theatre group and its participation in the Southeastern Theatre Conference festivals.  The program will be shared across the country as an educational tool for classroom and arts teachers to learn about the power of theatre and its impact on youth in theatre.

The Wildcat Players are putting on benefit performances to raise up to $10,000 for their trip. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, February 24-25 at the Warehouse Theatre. Cost is $25 per ticket, and a silent auction will be held on Saturday night. For more information contact Harry Culpepper at 355-8618.
