GCS Player of the Week - November 22, 2016
This week, GCS “Players of the Week” celebrates our 2016 State Championship Swim Teams:
The Riverside Warriors Girls & Boys Swim Team each captured their fourth straight state championship, this year in the newly created Class AAAAA. The girls team, though small in numbers, managed to win 8 out of the 11 events, while the boys team used its advantage in numbers to rack up points as both teams defended their state championships! Head Coach Eddie Hughes was named the Class AAAAA Coach of the Year!
After winning the Class AAA state championship last year, the Eastside Eagles Boys Swim Team looked to go back to back in the newly realigned Class AAAA. The Eagles used their depth to grab scoring opportunities and repeat as state champions! Head Coach Tiffany Watson was named the Class AAAA Coach of the Year!

Maegan Rudolph, Riverside Swim – Class AAAAA State Champion 100 Freestyle
Michael Juengel, Riverside Swim – Class AAAAA State Champion 100 Backstroke
Hannah Ownbey, Riverside Swim – Class AAAAA State Champion 100 Breaststroke
