Mr. Owens has served in public education as a teacher, coach, school administrator, and district administrator for 33 years, including 26 years in Greenville County. He was named Director of Student Personnel Services in 2006. Mr. Owens is a native of Greenville and is a product of Greenville County Schools. He earned an undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 1978 in Secondary Education. In 1983 he received a Master's in Education, also from Clemson University, in Secondary School Administration.
