Employee Spotlight Program Honors Outstanding Employees
Ten outstanding GCS employees have been selected for recognition in the Employee Spotlight Program. The Employee Spotlight Program honors staff members who have made significant workplace contributions or accomplishments at Greenville County Schools. Recipients were nominated by fellow GCS employees, who provided information about the employee and his or her work ethic. Each honoree will receive an award and a breakfast celebration for the recipient and his or her entire school, center or department. This program is sponsored by Greenville Federal Credit Union.
Taylor Foster – Teacher – Southside High School
Taylor’s colleagues describe him as a steady leader who stepped up during a time of significant transition. They say he has taken on additional responsibilities, supported teammates, and ensured students receive high-quality services, sharing that his attention to detail and commitment to compliance keep the department running smoothly. Taylor’s reliability and team-first mindset make a lasting impact on both students and staff.
Ronald Hanson – AV Technician – Security
Ronald is known across the district for his quick response, positive attitude, and willingness to help wherever needed. Colleagues say he consistently serves others with kindness, humility, and a strong work ethic, even while balancing demands from multiple locations. He resolves issues efficiently and brings a sense of calm to every situation. His dependable and service-oriented approach makes him a valued partner to schools across Greenville County.
Katelin Hawkins – Teacher – Fountain Inn Elementary
Katelin’s peers call her an inspiring educator who brings energy and opportunity to students both in and beyond the classroom. As Honor Chorus director, she creates meaningful performance experiences that connect students to the community. She also supports fellow educators by leading professional development and sharing effective strategies. Her enthusiasm and encouragement uplift students and staff alike, helping build a positive and connected school culture.
Kim Mack – Custodian – Bonds Career Center
Kim is known for her positive attitude and unwavering dedication to her work. Colleagues say she consistently goes above and beyond to keep Bonds Career Center clean, safe, and running smoothly. Peggy Neel – Director of Speech Services – Special Education

Leigh Anne Terry – Coordinator, High School Alternative Program – Sullivan Center
Leigh Anne is known for her unwavering commitment to students and families.
