Dr. Charlotte McDavid, Assistant Superintendent for Transformation
With over 15 years of district leadership experience, Dr. Charlotte McDavid currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Transformation at Greenville County Schools. In this pivotal role, she leads turnaround initiatives, oversees the focus continuous improvement process for identified schools, and implements the Elevate incentive model for school transformation.
Previously, Dr. McDavid served as the Executive Director of Academic Innovation and Technology in Greenville County Schools, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for Anderson School District Four, and Title I Director for Anderson School District One. Her extensive career encompasses K-12 leadership in curriculum, assessment, federal programs, alternative education, virtual learning, gifted and talented services, and innovative practices.
As an adjunct professor in educational leadership, she has made contributions to academic institutions, including Clemson, Southern Wesleyan, and South Carolina State Universities. A three-time graduate of Clemson University, Dr. McDavid earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Master's of Administration and Supervision, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership.
