Drew Brittain, Director of Planning and Demographics

Drew Brittain, Director of Planning and Demographics - Mr. Brittain brings a unique and well-rounded blend of educational expertise and planning experience to this role. Since joining the District in 2011 as an English teacher at Carolina High School, Mr. Brittain has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to serving our students and community. In his current position as Coordinator of Student Assignment within the Planning and Demographics Department, he oversees large-scale school choice programs that serve over 12,000 students annually. His work involves close collaboration with senior leadership, principals, and multiple departments across the District. He also works closely with others within the department on school assignment, magnet programs, and the preparation of the annual Long-Range Facilities Plan. He has a passion for education, a forward-thinking approach, and unique expertise in student assignment, municipal planning, and land-use regulations. Mr. Brittain holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Masters of City and Regional Planning from Clemson University.
