History

Our current building was built during between 1997 and 1998 on 2.7 acres of land. The school completed an expansion in May 2007 to add twelve classrooms and a multipurpose room to the school. There are plans for another expansion to begin in Spring of 2025. The purpose of the expansion is for Fountain Inn Elementary to open as a K-8 school for the 2027-2028 school year.

FIES Teachers EMPOWER all students by building relationships that encourage students to believe in themselves. Students are provided daily instruction that is rigorous and relevant. As a Project Based Learning school, we believe that students learn by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaning projects. In addition to academics, students learn skills for self-management, responsible decision making, relationship skills, social awareness and self-awareness.
