All second graders will take CogAT (aptitude testing) on October 6–7 and IOWA (achievement testing) on October 8–9. Testing will take place each morning, so please make sure your child arrives at school on time. A good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast can also help students feel ready to do their best! We know emergencies happen, but whenever possible, please plan appointments and absences around these testing dates.
In honor of America’s 250th birthday, Greenville County Schools is inviting EVERY student to take part in our Celebrating America Student Celebration!
Students can share what America means to them through essay, poetry, artwork, photography, speech, song, or dance. Entries can reflect their own thoughts, experiences, hopes, traditions, opportunities, challenges, or dreams.
Twenty-eight Finalists will receive $50, and four overall District Winners will receive $100!
Deadline to Submit: October 30, 2026
