Community Outreach

Oakview enjoys reaching out to our community through a variety of programs and initiatives.  To facilitate this, we've created a dedicated committee of teachers, chaired by our school counselors, Mrs. Rabren and Mrs. Taylor.

The following is some of the things we've worked on:

• Community based Lunch-n-Learn parent workshops
• Annual community Halloween party
• Chorus performs at a local assisted living facility
• Backpack Blessings food program
• Book drive to benefit local youth programs
• Toys for Tots holiday toy drive
• Shoe drive that provides fresh water in Africa
• Food drive to benefit local food pantry
• Coat, hats, and gloves drive for local shelters
• Aluminum can proceeds donated to local fire department for a burned children's fund
• Set of books provided for all registering kindergarten students
• Back-to-school supplies for those in need
• Field trip scholarships for those in need
