Attendance
7:00 am - Breakfast | 7:30 am - Classrooms Open | 7:45 am - School Day Begins | 2:15 pm - Dismissal
- Students must be in their classroom seat when the bell rings at 7:45.
- Students who arrive after the bell rings at 7:45 am are considered tardy and must be walked into the front office and signed in.
- Students must be picked up from the carline by 2:30. After that time, the parent must sign out from the front office.
Absences
If a child is absent, please send in a physical medical/parent note when your child returns to the attendance clerk, or by email at mbooth@greenville.k12.sc.us or via the online Google OES Absence Note Form.
Medical Notes - Original medical notes must be sent to the front office to be coded “Excused-Medical”.
Parent Notes - A parent may provide up to 10 parent notes per school year.
After the 10 parent notes a Physician's Statement is required to excuse ALL absences going forward (no matter the reason).
Absences will remain unlawful (unexcused) until a medical note is received.
Truancy - A student is considered truant if he/she have 3 consecutive unexcused absences or a total 5 or more unexcused absences.
Early Dismissals
The latest "early dismissal'' is 1:45 pm.
Anyone picking up a student must be on the student’s emergency contact list. If it is someone other than the parent, the office must be notified prior to pickup even if they are on the list.
A student must be in attendance for at least 3 hours of a school day to be counted present.
Transportation Changes
Please send a physical note to your child's teacher to make any transportation changes.
If an emergency transportation change arises during the day, please call the front office at 355-7199 to speak directly with someone by 1:45 pm.
DO NOT leave any transportation changes on voicemail or email.
