What is Work-Based Learning?

Work-Based Learning is your chance to discover hands-on experiences through internships, co-ops, and/or apprenticeships. You will take your knowledge and skills from the classroom and apply it through opportunities with employers throughout our community.

Students can get in touch with our Work-Based Learning Coordinator, Kelly Wyatt, to apply to one of these opportunities and prepare to connect with your future employer (interviewing, resumes, etc.).

Career center students are able to apply for Work-Based Learning opportunities through Mr. Wyatt and their teachers. In addition, you may apply to open positions through Launch GVL. Students at Hillcrest, J.L. Mann and Mauldin High Schools, who are not enrolled in one of the Career and Technical Education programs, may also apply to the Launch GVL positions.
