Automotive Technology is about more than just Auto Mechanics. In this course students will learn to perform routine maintenance on all types of automobiles. Students will receive training in safety, hand tools, engine repair, brakes, electrical, automotive HVAC, and engine performance. Students will learn through a mixture of theory and hands on training.
Students will have the opportunity to earn Student ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications in nine categories. Early College Credit through Greenville Technical College may be offered through this program.
Employment opportunities include any automotive related shop including dealerships, complete automotive repair facilities, tire repair, etc. This course also prepare students for various industrial and manufacturing careers in the Greenville area. (2 Year Program - Grades 10-12)
