Would you like to attend Golden Strip Career Center for the 2026-2027 School Year?

 

Rising 9th-12th Grade Students Currently Attending a Greenville County School:

The application to attend Golden Strip Career Center for the 2026-2027 school year is now available on the Greenville County Schools BACKPACK portal.  Click HERE for detailed instructions.   In addition to this application, students must also register for the desired Golden Strip Career Center course at their high school during registration.  Students must complete the application process by February 27, 2026 to be considered in the first round of applications.

Acceptance is not based on a first come, first served system. In the event that a course has more applicants than available seats, the grades, attendance and discipline for students applying to those programs will be used as determining factors for acceptance.

Current GSCC students returning for the same program next year do NOT need to reapply.

Rising 9th-12th Grade Students NOT Attending a Greenville County School:

Any student who is NOT currently enrolled in Greenville County Schools will also use the BACKPACK portal to apply. In this case, the parent will need to create an account, add the student, and then apply to the program.  Details for completing the application are located HERE.  

Students who are NOT enrolled in Greenville County Schools must also complete a GSCC Student Information Form and email a current high school transcript to Loralea Wright at lwright@greenville.k12.sc.us no later than February 27, 2026 to be considered for admission.
