Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)- G+

This new program at Golden Strip is available to 12th Grade students only from any Greenville County High School!

At the completion of the program the students will be eligible to take both the practical and cognitive exams to become Nationally Certified EMTs. This national exam is administered by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.

Once the student becomes nationally certified they are then eligible to be approved by DHEC to become South Carolina state certified EMTs. Students are then eligible to enter the EMS workforce.

Students must be 18 years of age in order to become both state and nationally certified, however they are permitted to take the NREMT exam prior to their 18th birthday. Once they turn 18 they are then issued the national certification.
