Tigerville Ranked #5 in South Carolina Elementary Schools
Let's celebrate Tigerville! According to 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Elementary Schools Rankings, Tigerville Elementary is ranked #5 in South Carolina Elementary Schools and #2 in Greenville County Schools Elementary Schools. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school. Thank you Tigerville staff and families for investing in the lives of Tigerville students.

Yeehaw! It’s Time for a Reading Roundup! Calling all parents of K4 - 2nd grade students! Join us for a special night of fun, learning, and bonding at our Reading Roundup!
What to Expect:

- Take home a handy practice packet to continue the learning fun together

Special Education Parent Academy
Parents are invited to attend the Parent Academy on January 24, 2025, at MT Anderson from 1:00-2:30 p.m. This workshop supports families in navigating special education, covering topics like the IEP process, evaluations and available resources. GCS Cell Phone Policy Updates
Due to a legislative action by the South Carolina General Assembly, the South Carolina State Board of Education passed a new cell phone policy for school districts across the state, which goes into effect after Winter Break, starting January 7, 2025. School districts must adopt this policy pertaining to personal electronic devices. At the December meeting, the Greenville County Schools Board of Trustees approved an updated policy to comply with the state requirement. Kindergarten and First Grade Registration
Early Bird Registration for the 2025-26 school year will be open December 2-6, 2024. Registration will continue beyond these dates. Children who will be five years old on or before September 1 of the current year must enroll in public or private kindergarten unless the parent or legal guardian signs a waiver Any child who will be six years old on or before September 1 of the current year must enroll in first grade. 4K Applications Accepted December 2, 2024-January 31, 2025
A limited number of spaces are available at specific locations. Four-year kindergarten classrooms are offered at various elementary schools and six child development centers across Greenville County. Children selected for 4K programs must demonstrate academic/developmental needs and/or risk factors such as low family income and low parent education level. Your child must turn four years old on or before September 1, 2025 to be considered for the 2025-26 school year and must have applied through Parent Backpack on the GCS website. Please note: completing the application does not guarantee enrollment in Greenville County Schools 4K program. Parents will be notified of application status by March 1, 2025. Rent the Rock!
We are excited to announce that the Tigerville Spirit Rock is available for rent to celebrate your child and support Tigerville Elementary School. The Tigerville Spirit Rock is now available for sign ups. The Rock is a perfect way to send one of Tigerville’s students or staff a “Happy Birthday”. The Rock is also a Tigerville fundraiser, so all funds generated will be used to pay for school programs & improvements. The cost is $10 per day & you will have the Rock for 24 hours (5pm-5pm). There will be no refunds for weather or school closure. Please see the Tigerville Spirit Rock Guidelines for complete details regarding payment.
