Mrs. Mihalic has been an educator for 38 years. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Arts Degree from Furman University. She was named the principal of Plain Elementary School in 2008 after serving as the assistant principal for seven years. Previously, Mrs. Mihalic taught for 14 years in grades two through five.
Mrs. Mihalic was born and raised in the small, rural town near Pittsburgh. It goes without saying that she is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and proudly sports her black and gold. She relocated to South Carolina in 1988 and loves living close to both the mountains and the beach.
Mrs. Mihalic enjoys spending time with her family as well as exercising, shopping, reading, gardening, and trips to the mountains and beach. She also loves listening to music, especially songs from the 80’s and the musical group Journey.
