Change in Assignment - 2017-2018 School Year
The Choice Lottery Window opens for new students on December 5 and runs through December 16. The Change in Assignment Choice for new students continues on January 2, 2017. Please know that K4 students do not automatically roll up to Mountain View if Mountain View is not your homebased school. Mountain View Toy & Gift Card Drive
Mountain View Elementary School will collect toys and gift cards for The Greer Relief Christmas Assistance Program from November 28th through December 9th. These items will help families in our community to provide for their children. Please bring new toys and/or gift cards (which will be used for older children) during these dates. Items may be dropped off in boxes under the tree in the atrium.
School Visitor & Volunteer Guidelines
Greenville County Schools (GCS), in an effort to ensure the safety of all of our students, has implemented additional security checks for school volunteers. All volunteers must submit an application to the school and receive clearance from the district before interacting with children in the school or chaperoning any school field trip. Volunteers are now identified by two different categories: Level I or Level II. All visitors will still be required to present a valid form of photo identification (ex. driver's license or passport) when entering the building for any reason. All visitors in the building, including parents and school volunteers, must wear the visitors badge in a visible location. Please click here for more information.
The mission of Mountain View Elementary School, in cooperation with the community, is to provide a safe, positive environment where children build skills, knowledge, and character needed for lifelong learning.
