Hello fellow Eastside Parents-
As my family is ready to begin its 4th year at Eastside High School, I am reflecting on how much we have benefitted from being a part of such an amazing community. From football games, soccer championships, weekend tournaments, school plays, art shows, blood drives, spirit weeks, Fun Friday events, teacher luncheons, student appreciation weeks, and graduations, Eastside has been a great place for so many memories.
None of us have to be told how fast time goes. PTSA wants to help your family make the most of the time you have before your student heads into the "real world". We have several opportunities for parents to volunteer in our school store, help with staff lunches, lend a helping hand to student government as they raise money for charity, and help kiddos that might just need an extra "Hey, how are you doing?".
Besides providing opportunities to families to volunteer, we also fund grants to teachers, assist our counseling department to aid students in need, and help with improvements to our facility. We do all this without doing any major fundraisers throughout the year. That is why our Opt-In Campaign is so important. If you are able to make a donation directly to PTSA I commit to you that it will be used to make our Eagles stronger. All money that we collect stays within the 4 walls of eastside high school.

Eagle Bites: Welcome to a new year of Eagle Bites! Eagle Bites is a snack shop in the lunchroom that is open all lunch periods for students and teachers any full day school is in session. Volunteers man the store selling snacks and drinks, and it's a great way to be involved (and see your child at lunch!) inside the school building. Eagle Bites is the only fundraising activity for PTSA at EHS and allows for teacher instructional grant requests to be funded. 100% of the proceeds stay inside the EHS building to help create a better learning environment for our students.
With only scheduling 2 volunteers each shift, it is very important that you are present or find a replacement for your shift. Because there is money involved, if you are not there, the store can not open! It is disappointing to the students and disruptive to the continued success of the store.
PTSA's Reflection Program: The national theme for 2024-2025 is “Accepting Imperfection”. Create an original piece of work in one of six categories: Musical Composition, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Photography, Visual Arts, or Literature. More information will be coming soon! We have had a winner at the National Level, and many winners at the district and state levels in the past! Winners at the district, state and national levels can win valuable awards!
