Welcome to Augusta Circle Elementary! It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal of such an exceptional school community. As we begin a new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to both our returning families and those joining us for the first time.
This school year marks my 29th year in education. I began my career in the classroom before serving as an assistant principal at two Greenville County Schools. I then had the privilege of serving as principal at Ellen Woodside Elementary for six years, and I am excited to begin my ninth year as principal of Augusta Circle Elementary.
I am incredibly proud of what makes Augusta Circle so special. Our students consistently demonstrate strong academic achievement across all subject areas, and our school continues to rank among the highest-performing schools in the district. While we are committed to academic excellence, we also believe that every child deserves an experience that nurtures the whole child. We strive to create a school where students feel seen, safe, celebrated, and excited to come to school each day. Through meaningful relationships, engaging learning experiences, and joyful traditions, we work hard to make school both challenging and fun.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Michael, and I have a 21-year-old son, James, who will be starting his senior year at the University of South Carolina. We also have a Golden Retriever named Murphy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, attending USC sporting events, walking, and working out at Barre3.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. We value the partnership we share with our families and know that together we can provide every student with an outstanding elementary school experience. I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growth, and celebration at Augusta Circle Elementary!
