Student Parking
Students will need to bring a completed SHS parking form, a valid driver's license, valid vehicle registration, and proof of insurance for the vehicle they will be driving to SHS to our Front Office Clerk, Ms. Franklin. You can download the parking form below, or stop by her desk to receive a paper copy. Once all the items are completed, your student will receive an assigned parking spot and a parking decal from Ms. Franklin on Mondays and Fridays beginning at 3 p.m. Early dismissal students will be called to the front office for their assignments before they leave school.
After-School Tutoring
We are pleased to announce Southside High School will offer after-school tutoring (Academic Overtime). This is an opportunity for students to receive additional one-on-one assistance in any class they may need extra help.
The tutoring sessions will be held in the media center each school day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Tutoring will not take place on holidays or days when school closed or there has been an early-release.

Dear Students and Parents,
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we encourage all students and families to review the 2026–2027 Student Handbook carefully. The handbook contains important information, guidelines, and expectations that help ensure a successful, safe, and positive school year for everyone.
The Student Handbook includes essential details regarding:
📚 Academic Expectations & Grading Policies – Important information about grades, assignments, course requirements, and academic responsibilities
💰 Class Dues & Financial Responsibilities – Information regarding student fees, class dues, and payment expectations
🤝 Student Behavior Expectations – Guidelines for appropriate conduct, discipline procedures, and creating a respectful school environment
👕 Dress Code Requirements – Expectations for student attire to maintain a focused and professional learning environment
📅 Attendance, Activities, and Other School Procedures – Important policies and procedures students need to know throughout the school year
Students and parents are responsible for understanding the expectations and policies outlined in the handbook. Reviewing this information together will help students make informed choices, stay on track academically, and contribute to a positive school culture.

SchoolCash Online provides a safe, secure, and convenient way for parents and guardians to pay outstanding student debts and school-related fees anytime, anywhere. Parents are encouraged to create their SchoolCash Online account and begin using the new system for all future student debt payments. A registration email should have been sent to your email address on file.
