I am honored to serve as the Principal of League Academy, a community that has been a significant part of my educational journey. Immediately after my Winthrop graduation, I began my teaching career at League in 1999 and have since committed myself to the community in various capacities, including theater teacher, attendance/career clerk, TV/video production instructor, and Magnet Program Coordinator. I have also served as the Fine Arts Department Chairperson, both within the school and at the district level. On a state level, I have taken on leadership roles as a member of the Arts In Basic Curriculum (ABC) Task Force and have actively participated in the SC Association for Middle Level Education, SmartARTS, and the Palmetto Arts Education Association.

As an educational leader, I envision a school environment that is inviting for both teachers and students, fostering a culture where educators feel respected and valued, and students take ownership of their learning and success. With a strong foundation in arts education, I recognize the profound impact the arts have on learning. I believe that every student is creative, capable, and deserving of a sincere and dedicated investment from their teachers and leaders. Through alignment, accessibility, and accountability, League can level up to even greater success. I am dedicated to empowering both teachers and students as they work together to serve their families, school, and community.

Personally, my connection to League has deep roots. My husband attended League as well as my two children. Married over 25 years, we have a son with a degree in Construction Science Management from Clemson and daughter in the furry world of veterinary technician and barn management.

Thank you for sharing your children with us and trusting our team to invest in them daily. We consider it an honor to partner with you during these years in the middle!  League is such a special place, and I hope you find it to be so too.
