Mrs. Jennifer Richey
2024-2025 HMS Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Richey is entering her 5th year at HMS and her tenth year of her teaching career. She earned her Bachelors of Mass Communication from North Greenville University and started her professional career as a Pricing Analyst for Bi-Lo. However, her love for learning brought her to the classroom after earning her Masters of Teaching in Middle School Mathematics from Clemson University. Since joining the HMS family, Mrs. Richey has happily taught 6th grade math for 5 years. HMS is very lucky to have such a wonderful educator who gives 100% every day for each of her students. Mrs. Richey believes that students work best in a safe and predictable environment. Students need to feel comfortable taking risks because making mistakes is a valuable part of learning.
