Health tips to Prevent or Slow the spread of seasonal influenza
Check your child for flu symptoms. Keep your child home if he/she has a fever of 100 degrees or higher. Children with flu will need to stay home until the fever is gone for 24 hours without taking medicines to reduce fever. The usual time is 3-5 days.
Symptoms of flu can range from fever, to runny noses, body aches, headaches, feeling tired or a combination of symptoms.
Practice frequent hand washing and covering your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze at home.
If symptoms present as nausea and vomiting your child should remain home for at least 24 hours after the last episode of vomiting.
Reminders:
We will no longer accept doctors notes through fax or email. All doctors notes must be brought by the student within 3 days and given to attendance.
