Extended Day Program
Our mission in the Summit Drive Elementary School Extend Day Program (EDP) is to provide a quality safe, and inviting environment consistent with the structure found at Summit Drive Elementary School. Our quality after-school experience is one in which each child’s day is enriched through a variety of activities which emphasize the mental and physical well-being of every child. We achieve this goal by providing homework assistance, recess, arts and crafts, and a healthy snack each day. We strive to emphasize activity that promotes self-discipline, self-respect, and a positive outlook on school life. Our staff is made up of experienced adults who have prior experience working with children in a structured educational environment. The safety and well-being of each of our students is our top priority.
EDP will begin to accept registration applications for the 2023-2024 school year. We have a limited amount of space available at each grade level, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible. To obtain an application, please see Mrs. Davenport in the front office between 3:00-6:00 beginning on Monday, May 22. All applications are due by Friday, May 26.

3 days or more is considered a full week.
A half week is a 2-day week as determined by the school calendar. For example, the Thanksgiving week is considered a half week. Parents may opt for their children to stay only 2 days per week; this would be considered half week rates. Inclement weather may cause a half week. In this case, the following week parents would be charged the reduced rate.
The registration fee is $40.00 per family (not per child). Please complete the registration form by May 19, 2023. Bring the registration form, $40 registration fee, and the first week’s payment to the front office. Payment must be in the form of a check or money order. No cash please.
