It is with great excitement that I can introduce myself as the Administrative Assistant of Bryson Elementary School. I am honored to have the opportunity to help lead a school with such persevering students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the staff, students, and families. I am married to my college sweetheart, Kelvin and we have two awesome children, Kelcey and Kelvin Jr.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for thirteen years. I have worked with students ranging in age from Kindergarten through 5th grade in a variety of roles. I have been a long-term sub for SPED, servicing kindergarten through fifth grade and I have served as a fourth grade classroom teacher. I was a part of the SIC committee as well as grade level chair for eight years. I am thrilled to bring my skills as an educator and leader to this new position here at Bryson Elementary and to work with you all as a partner in education.
I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Bryson Elementary this year and in the years to come. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my openness to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our students. As your Administrative Assistant, I will bring that spirit of collaboration as I build relationships with our students, our families, and our staff. Because the relationships between teachers, administrators, students, and families are vital to the success of our school, please feel free to contact me any time by phone: 864-355-3612 or email: tdabney@greenville,k12.sc.us if I can assist you in any way.
I am looking forward to working with all stakeholders to ensure that our school and students are successful.
Respectfully,
Dr. Tracey Abney
Administrative Assistant
