Last Days of School

The last 2 days of school are half days for all students.  On Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22, schools will dismiss early.  Elemnetary schools will dismiss at 11:45 AM.  Wednesday, May 22 is the last day of school.


GCS to participate in Seamless Summer Food Service Program

reenville County Schools’ Food and Nutrition Services will be participating in the Seamless Summer Food Service Program during the months of June and July.

Nutritionally-balanced meals will be provided to all children regardless of race, color, sex, disability, age or national origin during summer vacation when school breakfasts and lunches are not available. All children 18 years old and younger are eligible for meals at no charge. Free String Program

The NGU String Project will start a beginner class August 21, 2024, for any child in grades 3-5. The program offers free group class instruction on stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello, and bass). We have a limited supply of stringed instruments we can loan students whose parents cannot afford to rent or purchase one. Students are required to purchase Essential Elements for Strings book one for their instrument.

The beginner class will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays 5:00-6:00pm at Mountain View Elementary School.

LOCATION: Mountain View Elementary School | 6350 Mountain View Road | Taylors, SC 29687

CLASS SCHEDULE: 
Classes meet twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays.; Beginning Class | Monday and Wednesday | 5:00–6 p.m.

TUITION: Free;  Students are responsible for renting or bringing a suitable instrument and purchasing one music book. A few instruments, owned by the String Project, are available to borrow.

Lunch Visitors

Athletic Events Safety Requirements

In light of recent events at athletic venues across the country, Greenville County Schools has updated its safety requirements for athletic events, effective immediately.

Rent the Rock!

We are excited to announce that the Tigerville Spirit Rock is available for rent to celebrate your child and support Tigerville Elementary School.   The Tigerville Spirit Rock is now available for sign ups.  The Rock is a perfect way to send one of Tigerville’s students or staff a “Happy Birthday”.  The Rock is also a Tigerville fundraiser, so all funds generated will be used to pay for school programs & improvements. The cost is $10 per day & you will have the Rock for 24 hours (5pm-5pm).  There will be no refunds for weather or school closure.  Please see the Tigerville Spirit Rock for complete details regarding payment.  Have fun & be creative!  Thank you for supporting Tigerville Elementary School!  | Tigerville Spirit Rock Guidelines
