An awards ceremony honoring the school winners of the PTA Reflections competition took place on April 25th. Students interpreted this year’s theme, “I am Hopeful Because…”, with original works of art in the categories of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. We were inspired by the creativity that our students poured into this competition and are very proud of their outstanding accomplishments!

Sterling Recognized at 2024 SC-SIC Awards Program

School Improvement Council Award

Dr. Patterson, Mrs. Catherine Schumacher, and Mrs. Chloe McGoogin proudly represented our school at the South Carolina School Improvement Council Awards Program. While we were not selected to receive this year's Riley Award, we are extremely honored to have been named one of five finalist. We are proud of our school and the good work that is supported by our SIC. The South Carolina School Improvement Council's annual Dick and Tucky Riley for SIC Excellence was created in 2002 to spotlight the significant contributions made to public education by the 12,000 local SIC members who volunteer in the state's 1,100-plus public schools. In addition to our school's SIC elected members, we are grateful for the leadership of our SIC Chair, Catherine Schumacher, and Vice Chair, Chloe McGoogin. Our SIC is another wonderful example of our school's enduring commitment to the #WholeChild!
