Southside Championship

The Southside High School Academic Team was named the Small School Champions at the 2019 Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence National Scholastic Championship in June. The Southside team, comprised of six students, engaged in answering intellectual questions with other teams, demonstrating their intense knowledge on broad and specific topics. Students on the championship team are Kritika Ravichander, Annie Johnson, Sam Fried, Haseeba Karim, Khushi Umarwadia, and Athena Leong. The team is coached by Dr. Brian Corbett, who has led Southside to earn three Small School National Championships in the past four years
