Weekly Update 9.26

Good Afternoon, League Academy!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend!

We  have great things to share with you from last week at League!

  1. We had a great turnout for our PTA Open House last Monday! Thank you, parents, for your involvement in your child’s education!

  2. We concluded our PTA Fundraising event, Raise Craze last week with an awesome pep rally where we celebrated raising over $16,000 for improvements in technology and the arts for your students! We also celebrated our fall athletes in middle school and high school sports.

  3. Our staff participated in professional development with me to learn about our superintendent’s vision for Graduation Plus and the impact that education has on our economy and community.

This week our volleyball team will play on Monday and Thursday at home. Matches start at 5:30 and admissions to all Greenville County Schools middle school sporting events are $3.00. Please come out and support our girls!

Parents of eighth grade students, parent ad information for the yearbook was sent home with progress reports. The deadline for ads is October 21. Contact Mrs. Blankenship for more information or if you need a form.

Our 8th Graders will be participating in a Junior Achievement program on Friday called JA in a Day, where they will explore career opportunities.

The Raise Craze website will close on Friday, so you can continue to support your students and our school by continuing encourage folks you know to give.

We continue to have great things going on at League, and I would like to launch you all into a great week. Remember, “The purpose of learning is growth, and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing as long as we live.” —Mortimer Adler

Have a great week!
