AnnouncementsWeekly Update 2.27
Good Afternoon, League Academy! We had a great week last week- you know, sometimes those short weeks are the hardest weeks. It seems like we are all working hard to get five days worth of work done in four!
Here are some good things I would like to share with everyone!
Our PTA and SIC are doing amazing things for our school! We have been working with PTA on a chromebook project to purchase more technology for your students. Please visit the PTA website to see how you can get involved! http://leagueacademypta.weebly.com/
Additionally, our SIC is working on a gallery project for creating an art gallery in our main hallway. We worked with technicians and SIC this week to get that up and running! All are welcome at our PTA and SIC meetings! Please come to school and get involved!
We had several band and orchestra students participating in region band and orchestra on Friday. We are proud of our students, their talents, and their directors Ms. Walser, Mrs. Leonard, and Mr. McBride.
As we move into this week, I have a couple of reminders for you.
We will begin MAP testing this week for ELA and math. 6th grade will test on Thursday and Friday this week, and 7th and 8th graders will be testing next week. I will remind everyone again next week about 7th and 8th graders.
This coming Friday is Kona Ice and athletic shorts and pants day. Students may wear athletic shorts and/or pants for $1.00.
We will have our PTA board meeting at 8:45 at League on Friday. Please attend! All are welcome.
We have so many great things going on at League! It is great to see everyone working together for our students! Our teachers are constantly working to make certain that students are receiving the best instruction and our parent and community base work hard to support our efforts. It’s amazing the things that we can accomplish when we work together. Henry Ford said: “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”
Have a great week,
Mary Leslie Anderson
