Professional Development

The Professional Development Office of Greenville County Schools is committed to raising student achievement by supporting and facilitating high quality staff development that improves the performance of all district employees.

Clemson University

The Eugene T. Moore School of Education at Clemson University is pleased to announce details of a new MEd in Teaching and Learning K-12. University of South Carolina

The University of South Carolina - College of Education is pleased to announce their partnership with Greenville County Schools. This affiliation offers the teachers and staff of Greenville County Schools preferred tuition rates for the 100% online graduate degree programs. These affordable programs provide the flexibility and convenience needed to fit into your schedule. Furman University

The Office of Graduate Studies at Furman appreciates the opportunity to work with Greenville County teachers who seek to further their education through a M.A. or Ed.S degree program. For teachers who begin a new master’s or educational specialist program in fall 2016, we are happy to offer the first fall course at ½ the regular tuition rate.

Furman offers seven M.A. programs and two Ed.S. degree programs.

In addition, we are currently taking applications for a new Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) program. This degree program is aimed toward educators, who are leaders and scholars, and who have already earned a master’s degree but are now seeking licensure as a principal. This educational specialist degree allows teachers to gain School Administration licensure by completing 11 three-hour courses. North Greenville University

The T. Walter Brashier Graduate School of North Greenville University is passionate about assisting you in meeting your educational and career goals. NGU offers Masters degrees in Education, Music Education, and Arts in Teaching. You are also able to complete SC Read to Succeed courses with us if you desire. Our programs are flexible, competitively priced, and are offered both online, on-campus, or as a hybrid of the two options. Presbyterian College

The Education Department at Presbyterian College is pleased to announce the Third Annual Charles Chadwell Special Education Institute! We would like to invite you to attend a day-long workshop entitled, “Challenges and Opportunities for Students with Disabilities: Why Poverty Matters and Why Schools Can Matter More” led by Dr. Tammy Pawloski, a national expert on teaching children in poverty. The event will be hosted on the Presbyterian College campus on Saturday, April 1st from 9am – 3pm. Gardner-Webb University

Gardner-Webb offers Master’s, EdD, and EdS programs in fully online and hybrid formats. View/Download more information.

Gardner-Webb University also provides a unique opportunity to complete your bachelor's degree. The Degree Completion Program offers traditional undergraduate classes at a more convenient time and location for working adults. Evening classes are held at 12 sites across North Carolina. Eight programs are offered completely online. If you have a minimum of 48 transferable hours from an accredited college, you are now ready to complete your bachelor's degree. Since 1978 Gardner-Webb University's degree completion program has proven to be a greater opportunity for adult learners.

Grand Canyon University College of Education

Grand Canyon University offers continuing education Master degrees and single courses for certified educators in a variety of areas including Special education, TESOL, Curriculum and Instruction (reading and technology), and Administration.

NEW: GCU is announcing new cohort classes. They have selected a number of popular programs to offer a major tuition discount on classes if students begin classes at a particular date. This will offer an opportunity for teachers to save money on classes and begin with a larger support group.

Liberty University
