Our Assistant Principal

Hello Wildcats! I am excited to serves as the Assistant Principal at Thomas E. Kerns Elementary (TEK). I am honored to serve the families of Greenville County as an elementary teacher and assistant principal since 2001. I am extremely dedicated to the mission of TEK, which is to develop successful, responsible, and respectful life-long learners.

I am a graduate of South Carolina State University, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Webster University and a second Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Furman University. My educational experiences have taught me how to effectively manage multiple tasks, lead and participate on dynamic teams and effectively problem solve in a variety of situations.  In addition, I am committed to establishing a solid reputation for being a strong but fair leader while being sensitive to the needs of teachers and students.

I am married and have two young sons.  My hobbies are shopping, traveling and reading. I look forward to a successful year at Kerns!
