Participants in the Model United Nations choose a United Nations member country and research that country along with a problem specific to that nation. Student diplomats write a resolution and prepare to debate it in committee meetings in the spring. In preparation for these meetings, students research the culture, language, food, economics, and religion of the country and prepare a display for the Model United Nations Festival of Nations.
The Model United Nations is available to students in all grades. Interested students will need to have a teacher recommendation.
