Register to Win An American Education Week Prize - American Education Week recognizes our more than 10,000 employees, from bus drivers to plant engineers, teachers to social workers, and all who have made it their mission to make a positive impact on students, families, and their communities. Job Fair – The Human Resource Operations Department will host a Job Fair today at Brushy Creek Elementary School, 1344 Brushy Creek Road, Taylors, SC. This fair will take place from 5-7 PM. We will be hiring for the following positions: Bus Drivers, Bus Aides, Custodians and Food Service Operators. Flu and Shingles Vaccines for Members of the State Health Plans - Flu vaccinations are offered at no charge to all State Health Plan members. This applies to both the Standard and Savings Health Plans. Members may get the shot from a participating pharmacy for a $0 copayment. If a member receives the shot in a network doctor’s office, the flu vaccine and the administration fee will be paid in full. Please note that any associated doctor’s office visit charge will be processed according to regular plan coverage rules.
State Health Plan primary members age 50 and older can receive the Shingrix vaccine for a $0 copayment. Shingrix, a two-dose vaccination, is a new vaccine to prevent shingles. The CDC recommends adults age 50 and older receive the vaccine to prevent shingles and complications of the disease. If you received the Zostavax vaccination in the past, you are encouraged to also get the Shingrix vaccine. You may receive the vaccine at a network pharmacy without a prescription. Or, you may receive the vaccine at your network doctor's office. Coverage includes the cost of the vaccine and administration fee. Any associated office visit charges will follow regular Plan coverage rules. For Medicare primary members, the vaccine is covered under the prescription benefit as a Part D drug at $0 copayment.

Tinker’ - The movie Tinker’ is making its world premiere November 9-15 at Camelot Cinemas (48 E. Antrim Drive) in Greenville. Written/directed and produced by two Travelers Rest High School graduates (Sonny Marler and Nick Stathakis), this family film has secured international distribution and has been the recipient of 19 “Best Of” awards and 25 nominations including winning “Best Feature” at the 2017 @ReedyReelsFilmfestival. A portion of the proceeds from the movie’s run in Greenville will benefit Greenville County Schools. Though not rated by the Motion Picture Association, the movie has a Dove Seal rating that approves it for ages 12 and over. Portions of the film were recorded here in Greenville.
