ENERGY MANAGEMENT TIPS AND REMINDERS

Energy Saving Tip - Block the Sun’s Heat - On a hot day, close the blinds in your classroom or office to help block the sun’s radiant heat.

Reminder - Doors and windows should not be propped open for ANY reason. Propping open windows not only allows humidity into the building, but also damages the windows frame as they were made only for emergency egress purposes.

Fun Fact - May Flowers…The Yellow Jasmine, South Carolina’s state flower, grows in a vine that can reach lengths of 20 feet.   Using only one year of energy savings, Greenville County Schools could purchase enough yellow jasmines to stretch from Columbia, SC to Seattle, WA.
