Tony Wells Development Grant –High school track programs are eligible for National Scholastic Athletics Foundation grants of $700 for the development or enhancement of track programs. Office Support Staff - All Schools - On November 9, Greenville County Schools will offer a 2 hour MAKE-UP session to office support staff as they provide excellent customer service in our schools. Our Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Mason Gary will provide inspiration for our daily attention to the needs of our customers and we will hear from our corporate partners about how to provide an experience that customers appreciate.

Registration is open to any school-based clerical or secretarial staff. Registration will be on the professional development portal,

Participants may choose either session, 9-11 AM or 1-3 PM

Gifted and Talented Endorsement Coursework - This is available through Furman University in the spring and summer 2018 terms.  Courses are offered at a reduced tuition rate of $750 each, and will have limited face to face meetings. See information here.

One-Day Classroom Management Seminar for Elementary and Middle School Principals and Teachers - Ken Cheeks and Stanford Smith, national trainers with the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, will present a classroom management seminar entitled, “Time To Teach” on Wednesday, November 8, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM at the SCEA Building, 421 Zimalcrest Drive, Columbia. Their program is aimed to reduce office referrals and off campus suspensions by as much as 70 to 90 percent in the first one to two years after implementation. The cost is $199. Boost your immune system. You can do this by drinking plenty of water, washing your hands often to prevent sickness, and eating nutritious foods.

Get yourself ready for Daylight Saving Time. Go to bed earlier when you can, especially the week before the clocks change. Longer periods of darkness = longer periods of sleep!
