HUMAN RESOURCES

GCS Cohort, Summer 2017: MEd and EdS Cohort with Building-Level Certification - Clemson University is seeking educators with strong leadership potential to join their Greenville cohort beginning in the Summer of 2017. Employees of Greenville County Schools are eligible to join the cohort and receive fee and tuition reductions.

For additional details, you are invited to attend an Information Session online on February 23 at 5:30 p.m., or on March 15 at the University Center, at 5:30 p.m.  Both the MEd and EdS degrees lead to principal licensure.  In addition to essential management skills, the program develops a range of essential leadership skills that empower educators to lead regardless of position and hierarchy. Most courses include significant field-based experiences so that candidates are engaging in different forms of leadership throughout the program. The MEd is 36 hours and the EdS is 30 hours. Cohort sizes over 15 result in significant cost savings in addition to Clemson’s already low tuition rates for graduate education. The application deadline is April 10. Classes begin on May 16.

HEALTH AND WELLNESSS

Keep a Food Diary - Write down what you eat, how much, when, and why. For example, what do you eat when you're stressed out? Keeping a food diary has many benefits, from encouraging weight loss to improving nutrition to pinpointing food intolerances. A food diary can also help you recognize emotional issues affecting your weight-loss efforts.

Keep an Exercise Diary - Record your physical activity, including how long, how often and how hard you work out. An exercise diary keeps track of your activity on a daily basis, provides motivation, helps prevent injury and helps identify weaknesses. Keeping an exercise diary should be simple and shouldn't take up a lot of your valuable time.
