HUMAN RESOURCES
Banking Vacation - Any twelve-month employee who has at least ten years of uninterrupted employment with The School District of Greenville County may elect not to use, but to accumulate (i.e., bank), up to the standard hours equivalent of forty-five days of vacation time and be paid for this accumulated vacation time upon separation from employment. Employees who have banked such leave and separate from employment or retire from Greenville County School District, including those who exit the Teacher and Employee Retention Incentive Program (TERI), may be paid their current daily rate of pay for accumulated but unused vacation, up to a maximum of 45 days. No employee will receive payment for more than 45 days of accumulated vacation days from Greenville County School District during his/her lifetime. For example, if an employee with banked vacation days retires or exits the TERI retirement program, receives pay for 45 days, and then later returns to work for the district, he/she will receive no additional payment for vacation days not used during the employee's subsequent employment. Board Policy/Rule-GBRK.
If you are a 12 month employee, have had at least ten years of uninterrupted employment and would like to bank vacation, please complete the Bank Vacation form. Submit this form to the HRProcessingCenter@greenville.k12.sc.us by January 15, 2017.

HEALTH AND WELLNESSS
Bake, broil or grill foods to reduce fat - Rather than cooking with butter or vegetable oil, try healthier versions like olive, canola or sunflower oil. In addition to being diet-friendly and heart healthy, broiling is fast, cheap and requires no extra appliances that take up counter space since it can be done in the broiler compartment of your oven.
Healthy Snacks for Kids - Snacks should provide nutrients and energy, which are essential for active, growing children. Keep a variety of snacks in the house, such as fresh fruit, vegetables, whole-grain cereals, and crackers.
