The good news is that exercise, good nutrition, regular cholesterol checks, and regular blood pressure checks can help you reduce your risks for heart disease. HEALTHY LIVING TIPS
Make Time for Your Health – Work up to 60 minutes of physical activity each day. That doesn't mean you'll be on the weight-room floor seven days a week, but strive to get some kind of activity—even if it's a walk with your dog or a leisurely bike ride. Take advantage of great weather when possible by taking your workouts outdoors. If you're new to fitness, start with two 15-minute sessions or three 10-minute sessions to help you become acclimated.
Minimize the Midwinter Blues – Winter months tend to mean shorter days, reduced motivation, and ‘hibernation mode.’ Here are five simple ways to get motivated to workout, even on those cold, dark mornings: wake up to music; choose a time that works for you and stick to it; do an exercise routine that makes you happy; get a gym buddy; and buy a new, colorful workout outfit.
