Where in the World is Montague? |
Our theme this year at Blythe
is "Around the World in 180 days!" Montague the Bear
will give clues each morning from a French or Spanish
country. Students will try to guess which country
Montague is visiting that week, and will drop their answers
in a special box in the Media Center. A winner will be
drawn each Friday.

Clues for the Week |
Monday,
December 7, 2009 - Bon jour,
boys and girls. It has
taken quite a while to travel to
this beautiful place.
Montague is visiting a country
where there are no airports!
The official language here is
French, so Montague will feel
right at home speaking to the
people here, however, English
and Italian are also spoken. Where could I be?

- Listen carefully boys and
girls. This beautiful Western
European country is bordered on
one side by the Mediterranean
Sea and by another country that
is shaped like a boot. A very
famous resort welcomes thousands
of visitors each year. It is a
very popular spot for playing in
the sun and sea.

- Today Montague learned that a
real live princess lived here
but she was born in America.
Actually she was a very famous
movie star in Hollywood when she
met and fell in love with the
Prince. She lived a fairy tale
life in a real castle. Today
her son rules the country.
Thursday, December 10, 2009
- Montague has been shopping for
souvenirs to bring home and
found out that his American
money does not work here. Here
they spend Euros. He even
stopped by one of the world’s
most famous casinos but did not
spend any of his Euros there.
Friday, December 11, 2009
- It is very crowded here.
Montague is in the most densely
populated country in the world.
The capitol is the same as the
country’s name. Actually their
country is called a
Principality, but with all of
these citizens did you know this
country has never won an Olympic
Medal? They love soccer and
auto racing.
