Monday, November 16, 2009 - Montague is visiting the country that has the world’s largest coastline and
forests cover almost half of it. He can see mountains, lakes, forest, and snow
all in one scene.
Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - Montague is in the 5th largest energy producing country. Where in the world do
you think you would be able to find a humpback whale diving in front of an
iceberg? Montague even took a picture for you to see.
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 - Montague is enjoying learning to play
soccer. Soccer is this country’s national sport, but lacrosse was invented by
people in this country and also baseball gloves.
Thursday, November 19, 2009 - This country is the 2nd largest in the
world with a population of 31.4 million people. There is also a large
population of bears (black, brown, grizzly, and polar). Montague is enjoying
learning about them. One thing he has learned is that bears do not often attack
people unless they are surprised, threatened, or frightened.
Friday, November 20, 2009 - Montague has had a great week in this country. He has
shared lots of information with us. He also has been able to speak with people
in French and English as these are the 2 main languages spoken in this country.
The national anthem boasts “true north strong and free”. Their waterways dwarf
famous waters elsewhere in North America.
