Message from Mr. Bruce

Dear Devildog Parents and Guardians,

 

I hope this message finds you well as summer break starts. As we look forward to the upcoming school year, we want to emphasize the importance of the updated dress code policy for all Greenville County High Schools. This policy, approved by the GCS Board of Trustees this past year and effective this August, is crucial in maintaining a positive and distraction-free learning environment for all our students. Please see the attached Discipline and Dress Code Consistency for reference

 

Please review the following requirements carefully and keep them in mind while shopping for back-to-school clothing this summer:

 

Skirts and Shorts Length: When standing upright, the hem of skirts or shorts must reach the bottom of the fingertips.
Straps on Tops: The width of straps on tops must be at least the width of a student ID card.
Visible Undergarments: No visible undergarments or items worn as undergarments are allowed.
Holes in Garments: Holes in garments or exposed skin are prohibited above the required skirt/short length.
Midriff Areas: No exposed midriff areas are allowed.
Pajama Pants: Pajama pant bottoms are not allowed.
Footwear: No bedroom shoes or slippers are allowed.
Headwear: Hoods, hats, and sunglasses must not be worn inside the building at any time.
