Rising Seniors - Senior Picture Sign-Up

Alive at 25

Alive at 25 courses are filling up quickly! Register your student at SCNSC.ORG/A25 to reserve a space so they will be ready to purchase their parking pass this summer. By registering your child for Alive at 25, they will receive comprehensive training on safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of making responsible choices behind the wheel.  Alive at 25 Flyer  Register for Alive at 25

Student Summer Enrollment Hours - 2024-2025 - School Year

If you are transferring to our school from another district or another state, please enroll your student online through parent backpack. 

The first step is to set up a Backpack account: Setting up at Parent Backpack Account

Open your Backpack account, look for the "Enroll A New Student" section, follow the instructions, upload required documentation (see below), complete and submit enrollment. Please upload, email, or fax (864-355-1585) the following documents to enroll your student: 

• Two Proofs of residency such as mortgage, lease, water or power bill. These MUST be dated within the last 30 days. 
• Parent/Guardian's government issued photo ID.
• Student's birth certificate.
• Student's immunization record or religious exemption certificate. Out-of-state immunizations need to be transferred to SC DHEC immunization form & submitted to Greer High prior to 1st day of school.
• Last report card and IEP/504 plan (if applicable).
• Court orders pertaining to custody, guardianship, no contact, etc. (if applicable) 

School staff will be available on the following enrollment dates this summer to assist you with registration or updating your student's record: 

• June 25 & 26, 8:30am - 3:00pm
• July 9 & 10, 8:30am - 3:00pm 
• July 16 &17, 8:30am - 3:00pm
• July 30 & 31, 8:30am - 3:00pm 

Note to GCS parents: If you have a student who is currently enrolled in a Greenville County School and you have moved, please alert your current and new school of your address change. New proof of residency will be required.

Summer Break Café

The Summer Break Café Program is a state funded program that offers free breakfasts and lunches throughout the summer at sites throughout the country. LiveWell Greenville's Food Resource Guide has the schedule and locations of all Summer Break Café sites throughout Greenville County. It also includes other food resources that can be helpful for families throughout the year. United Way School Tools:

United Way of Greenville County will host School Tools on Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Carolina High and Academy. Greenville County students and families are invited to the free event where they can receive free school supplies, information about free or low-cost community resources, food, music, and family-friendly fun! Sex Education Instruction for the 2024-2025 School Year

Greer High School will be conducting sex education for the 2024-2025 school year through PE 1 classes. The dates of instruction are from August 13th through August 23rd (1st semester) and from January 7th through January 17th (2nd semester). Parents who wish to preview the materials and lessons beforehand can do so in person at the school during normal school hours or through the district website. If you have any questions, please call the school at 864-355-5701.

Waitlist Application for Virtual Program

All Greenville County students have the opportunity to apply for the full-time Virtual Program. The waitlist application for the 2024-2025 GCS Virtual Program opens at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, and will continue through 5 p.m. on Friday, August 2. To apply, students must be enrolled in Greenville County Schools, and parents must have a BackPack account.
